During cold winter, eating Chinese hot pot is a good way to fight coldness. Hot pot is not that hard to make at home. We just need to prepare all the materials and seasoning.
Ingredients:500g hot pot seasonings; 1000ml broth; 250g oiled tofu; 150g wood ear mushroom; 100g China squash; 150g quail eggs; 200g pork liver; 200g cauliflower; 250g asparagus; 200g duck wing; 250g duck gizzard; 200g beef; 150g pea shoot
Seasoning: 3tbsp of oil; 2tbsp of salt; 1tbsp of sesame oil; some ginger; some garlic cloves; 1tbsp of sugar; 1tbsp of mature vinegar; 1tsp of chicken essence; half a dozen of anise; half a dozen of dried pepper; Sichuan pepper; 1tbsp of soy sauce; 2 pieces of Chinese Parsley
1. Add oil into a wok and heat the wok. Add garlic, ginger, anise and stir fry until flavor. Add hot pot seasoning, dried peppers, Sichuan pepper, salt, sugar, soy sauce, and then stir fry until flavor.
2. Add broth into the wok and then simmer for one hour on low heat until flavor. Then we can put a wok on induction cooker and begin to eat.
3. Add the ingredients which you want to eat into the wok. Also don’t forget to prepare hot dip using chopped garlic, sesame oil, salt, chicken essence, vinegar and chopped Chinese Parsley.
