Chinese yam has long been used as a traditional medicine and foodstuff in China, to relieve stomach pain and diarrhoea. Chinese yam’s medicinal properties have been confirmed by famous herbal doctors again and again. Now modern science is revealing that yams have even greater health benefits. Uncooked yams with intact starch granules are better than cooked yams for lowering blood lipids.
200g oyster mushrooms; 200g Chinese yams; 2 tbsp olive oil; salt to taste; monosodium glutamate to taste; ginger and green onions; 2 leaves of head lettuce; 1 tbsp Chinese wolfberry
1. Wash and clean oyster mushrooms and tear into slices. Then add into a wok to blanch with hot water for a while.
2. Peel off Chinese yams and cut into slices. Add olive oil into a wok and heat the wok. Then add ginger and onions until fragrance.
3. Add oyster mushrooms to stir fry for a while. Then add Chinese yams to stir fry.
4. At last, add salt and monosodium glutamate and have a stir. After mixed well, put them into a plate.
