Maybe some of you know healthy benefits of Chinese yarm, but I believe most of you don’t know that the most precious Chinese yam, which is called “Tiegun Chinese yam” from Jiaozuo County of China Henan Province. This kind of Chinese yam is better than other Chinese yams for its wildness and the origin growing place. Chinese yam has long been used as a traditional medicine and foodstuff in China, to relieve stomach pain and diarrhoea. Chinese yam’s medicinal properties have been confirmed by famous herbal doctors again and again. Now modern science is revealing that yams have even greater health benefits. Uncooked yams with intact starch granules are better than cooked yams for lowering blood lipids.
200g napa cabbages; 100g Dioscorea opposita; 30g Shiitake mushrooms; 1tbsp oil; salt to taste; spring unions; ginger; Swanson Chicken Broth
1. Prepare cooking materials. Wash and clean napa cabbages, Chinese yam, and cut them into fine sections. Infuse shiitake mushrooms.
2. Add oil into a wok and heat the wok. Add ginger and shiitake mushrooms, put Swanson Chicken Broth in. Heat on medium temperature until boiling, then cook for 5 minutes.
3. Then add Chinese yam, napa cabbages and cook for 8 minutes.
3. Add salt and cook for 2 minutes. Then add chopped spring unions to mix well. Serve.
