According to Traditional Chinese medicine, eating congee can preserve our health. Almost every Chinese people knows this. But it’s hard for everyone to have time make congee. So now I would introduce an easily made Chinese squash congee.
Ingredients: 1/4 cup of white rice; 150g Chinese squash; 1 spoon of sugar
1. Get 1/4 cup of white rice, wash and clean white rice. Simmer with water on low heat for about 20 minutes.
2. Simmer rice until it’s well cooked. Wash Chinese squash, peel off the skin, and slice into fine stripes.
3. Add Chinese squash stripes into rice and continue to simmer until Chinese squash is all right for eating. Add 1 spoon of sugar and mix well. Finally switch off the heat. Serve.
